On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the Riverside County Office of Education honored the county's top high school seniors with Student Academic Awards. The Riverside County Student Academic Awards celebrate students’ dedication and perseverance in attaining academic achievement.
Four Banning Unified School District students were awarded.
Mariana Padilla - Banning High School
Miguel Rangel - Banning High School
Sandra Enos - Banning Independent Study School
Sophia Waters - New Horizons High School
Additionally, Miguel Rangel from Banning High School was recognized as a 2023 Riverside County Exceptional Graduate Award. He received a $500 scholarship funded by the Riverside County Office of Education Foundation through the Brighter Future Fund Savings Account.
