In a vibrant display of gratitude, Central Elementary School and Cabazon Elementary School hosted special Veterans Day celebrations, welcoming local veterans, families, and the community to honor those who have served. The events brought students, parents, and community members together to show appreciation for veterans in a spirited community gathering.
Students, from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) to fifth grade, wore red, white, and blue attire and proudly waved flags as they performed songs, recitations, and other patriotic displays, celebrating the bravery and sacrifices of our nationās veterans. Attendees were delighted by the studentsā heartfelt performances, each expressing gratitude and pride for the veterans who have contributed to our freedom.
āOur Veterans Day celebration is an opportunity for our youngest students to understand the importance of service and show their appreciation in a meaningful way,ā said Superintendent Terrence Davis. āWeāre thrilled to have such strong community support for our veterans and to see the enthusiasm of our students in honoring them.ā
The event demonstrates Banning Unified School Districtās commitment to fostering community connections and instilling respect for service among its students. The district looks forward to continuing honoring veterans through community celebration.
