Dear Central  Families, 

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am thrilled to be welcoming you and your children back to school! We have eagerly anticipated the full reopening of our campus. This year we will continue to commit to collaborate and develop responsible, respectful, prepared students to achieve their full potential. We will continue to embed critical thinking and collaboration across all content areas. We will also continue working diligently to meet the diverse needs of our students through small group instruction across all grade levels, school-wide implementation of I Ready and I Station to monitor students’ progress in reaching grade-level mastery.  

We will also continue to implement PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) systems as part of our school culture.  

We understand our students have not been off-campus for over a year and we are strategizing through our tiered layers of academic and emotional support to work in partnership with families to determine how best to meet the needs of our students.

One of the greatest characteristics of Central Elementary is the genuine care and compassion shared between staff, students, and parents. Central Elementary School is recognized as a place of learning where cultural diversity is valued and the learning needs and interests of its multi-ethnic population are met.  Central School will build a supportive partnership with parents and the community to ensure that basic needs are being met in a safe environment.  We look forward to an awesome school year!
