Dear Hemmerling Mustang Families,
Today we had an awesome, free yoyo assembly for our K-2 students called NED’s Mindset Mission. We trust your mustang was encouraged by the show which taught about having a positive, growth mindset for learning and life!
NED's Mindset Mission yoyos will be available for purchase from tomorrow, 5/9 until Wednesday, 5/15 during all student lunches to support the free show and message. Proceeds from this sale will be given to NED's Mindset Mission to pay for the next school's show, just as ours was funded by a previous school. Students from any grade may purchase yoyo's using exact cash/change or checks made payable to Hemmerling Elementary School. Flyers with prices were sent home on 5/7/24 and are attached here.
If your student purchases a yoyo, here is an important link to help them get off to a good start with proper string length adjustment, click here. We will also have designated areas on campus where students will be allowed to practice with their yoyos. Students must follow the 3 rules:
1. Only yo in the NED Zone
2. Play at a string's length away from others
3. No swinging tricks at school
