Dear Mustang Families,
Hemmerling is proud to announce that our school will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge again this year-- a week-long program dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion in communities worldwide! We will celebrate next week, January 27-31, 2025.
To help our students practice kindness and put their compassion into action, they will receive a Great Kindness Challenge checklist at the beginning of the week and will be encouraged to complete as many acts of kindness as possible at school and at home.
We will also be having community projects to share kindness to our Banning community and beyond! On Monday, we will be making thank you cards for firefighters, on Wednesday students will be making kindness stickers that our local Starbucks will share with customers, and all week long, we will be collecting new or gently used clothing and shoes for the Banning USD Student Services Community Closet. We are so excited to work on these projects with you and your Mustangs!
We will also be having a Great Kindness Challenge Spirit week with fun dress-up days and daily kindness challenges. Please see the flyers below so that your Mustang can participate. We look forward to spreading kindness with you!
