Mandated by both state and federal law since 1988, SARCs are designed to give parents and caregivers the tools to make meaningful comparisons between public schools and to make informed decisions regarding their child’s education. By offering transparency, SARCs also serve as a way for schools to report on their progress toward achieving key goals.
