Approved Websites for Banning Unified

Technology Integration has been working with websites and Banning  teachers to fill out AB 1584 to allow websites to be unblocked and ready for student use.  AB (Assembly Bill) 1584 deals with student data and how it is collected and stored. Companies must complete and sign an AB 1584 before websites are unblocked for student use in the Banning Unified School District.

If you have an educational website that you would like students to use and it is blocked, contact the Technology Integration Specialist to begin the process of getting a signed AB 1584 document.  The process does not guarantee that the document will be signed by that company and website. Technology Integration will work with the website to see if they adhere to California Education Code as it concerns to student data collection.

Here are some of the sites that Technology Integration and IT have approved for student use.
